“Forget chocolates and roses, zombie teddy bears may be the way to your Valentine’s heart.
It was just another day a few weeks before the Hallmark holiday when Phillip Blackman got the urge to tear out the guts of an old teddy bear and to turn it into a zombie.
Blackman, who studied special effects and now works as an illustrator, toiled away for two days at his home in Sussex, England. What he ended up with was a snarling, blood-soaked bear holding up a heart torn out of its gristly, exposed chest.”

Big Snow, 42nd Street. 1956. By Andreas Feininger

View from outside my apartment.

“Winterstorm Nemo”, you’re a joke. According to weather.com we got 7 inches of snow. And the streets were all plowed by morning. To repeat my sentiments from yesterday, New Yorkers are a bunch of wimps.

Have a good night. Have a good weekend. Take a load off. Have a drink or two with some friends who may or may not all be named Bill Murray.

wilsongilson:

Met an artist last night who does chalk murals at a local bar every few months. Can you believe this got rubbed out? Its the best thing I’ve ever seen.

Artists name is Justin Cozens.

First thought: OMG BILL FUCKING MURRAY.

Second thought: “rubbed out. hurr hurr hurr.”

Never grow up, Wheaton. Never grow up.

“Clementine” - Illustration by Sam Spratt
Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind was an instant favorite of mine when it came out and remains one of few movies that I’ll revisit every couple years — it somehow manages to keep getting better.

Sam Spratt, why must everything you do be so beautiful??
